do as follows
1) in sort2a.f make the error message print out lStk too.
2) crank up the format from I4 to I8
3) in src/Include/Srt3.inc crank lStk up from 16*1024 to 64*1024

Recompile and rerun. Maybe you need to repeat 3) once more but now you know at least what you should set lStk to.
