Please, note that gfortran 4.8 (e.g. coming as default with Ubuntu 13.10) has serious overoptimization problems.
Do not try to compile Molcas with more than -O0.
We are working on the solution, but please, do not expect a fix for Molcas 7.8 - there are quite a number of places which triggers overoptimization.
